For the first time in a few years the battle returned to the Black Loch in West Lothian. The strong westerly wind made it a quick race heading down towards Avonbridge, and the punchy climbs gave all the riders a brutal day out.
5 and half laps of this great loop had a break develop after a lap or 2 with the leaders working well together keeping the peloton behind them and never to be caught. The leaders came into the last climb and initially it looked like an sprint was upcoming but Jamie Mackenzie put out the power early in the climb and the META rider took the win with some time to spare.
For me personally it was great to be back behind the lens, been too long with Covid and other things in my life happening but I hope that this may well be the restart for me with some events upcoming.
See you all soon
